*skips introduction*
DAY 1
Practically day one was spent in the plane since our flight was at 11.50 pm, 11th December and when we reached Korea, it was already 6 am which was the second day. Anyway, the flight there was dreadful because my sister kept on tugging and leaning on me. It was annoying. However, I saw something magical that night. That night, the sky was filled with stars! I kept looking at them since I could not sleep and then I saw something that I thought I would never get to see; a wishing star. Boy, my heart was pumping with excitement. I was literally jumping with joy in my seat! That was not all, I saw a rainbow sky too in the morning!
DAY 2
The first thing we did when we reached Seoul was eat. They(the tour guide) brought us to this really cozy restaurant to have beef bone soup! Then we went to Kyeongbok palace if I am not mistaken. It was freezing cold that day! My hands literally frozed. My dad told me it was -11 degrees that day. Well, it was still early when we reached there, so the weather would be exceptionally cold. After that, we went to the ice gallery and sculptured our own ice cup.
Though it was -11 that day but it still didn't snow :(
We then took a flight to Jeju Island.
MY GOSH, ain't Jeju Island the most breathtaking island ever? Come to think of it, the 8 days I spent in Korea, all the sceneries were all darn beautiful. Back to Jeju Island, we went to see this Dragon Rock something. I am sorry, I wasn't really paying attention to what the tour guide was saying since he was speaking in Mandarin and you do know that my Mandarin capabilities are very limited.
And we had grilled squid and sausages! They were really yummy :) We also went to the Mysterious Road which I am lazy to explained. But we had loads of Korean snacks which is a must try when you are in Korea! So we had spicy rice cakes and fish cakes and also banana milk ;_;
For dinner, we had dumpling steamboat.
We stayed at Ocean Suites Hotel which was near E-mart. It was a really nice hotel. The only downside to it was it did not have WiFi services in the rooms. Being adventurous as we were, we went out at night on our own. My dad. sister and I walked to E-mart and bought some stuffs. E-mart is like our Jusco but better. Winter clothes in E-mart are so cheap! and stylish too. I regret not buying from there in the first place. If only we knew...
DAY 3
We start the day by having breakfast obviously. We had abalone porridge without the abalone. Ironic. And some buns with dumpling.
We went to some village after breakfast. Then we headed to Teddy Bear museum!
Next, we went to the Glass castle.
After Glass castle, we went to the Magic Palace which featured some illusions masterpieces.
Our lunch that day was pork :)
Then we went to the Seongsan Ilchubong Tuff Cone. That place was beyond amazing. The scenery there was indescribable. And I really like the weather at Jeju Island. It was like walking in an air-conditioned room.
Dinner that night was seafood steamboat. After dinner, my family and I walked around our hotel and explore.
DAY 4
Breakfast was some cold pork and rice. Then we took a flight back to Seoul.
Upon reaching Seoul, we first had our lunch before we headed off for a two hour journey Nami Island/YongPyeong.
Lunch was Samgaetang :)
Nami Island is famous because a Korean drama; Winter Sonata was filmed there.
Dinner was pork again haha. We stayed at Yong Pyeong Ski Resort. The rooms were quite nice and there was also Wifi services!
DAY 5
Breakfast was hotel breakfast. Those who rented the ski gear went to ski while those who didn't can stay at the resort. Namely, the Lim family. HAHA.
I couldn't go for the hot spring because my 'friend' decided to come and visit me -.-
After that we went for lunch. Notice this trip we kept on eating? :P
Lunch was some fish soup.
And we went to make our own cheese! And feed the sheep.
We headed to Mount Sorak next and we got a chance to sit on the cable car! :D
Dinner was grilled fish. I think it was the best grilled fish I've ever eaten.
We stayed at Del Pino hotel. The rooms in Del Pino are like apartment rooms? It had a mini kitchen, lounge and two rooms. One room with a decent soft bed, and one with traditional Korean bed where you sleep on the floor. I believe it is called the Watami?
And at the hotel itself, it had a mini supermarket, arcade and fried chicken shop :)
DAY 6
Ate hotel breakfast again then we head back to Seoul. Before reaching Seoul, we stopped by at the Yeosu Premium Outlet. My mum got her Burberry bag and my sister got a Coach bag. HAHA and I? I was waiting for something else *smirk*
We went to Lotte World as soon as we reached Seoul. I was excited to be there because Running Man filmed there once :)
We also went to the Star Avenue which was disappointing because it only featured artists who endorse Lotte Duty Free like Super Junior, 2PM, Kim Hyun Joong and etc. but JYJ wasn't there =.="
Lunch was on our own so we had local cuisines at a restaurant inside Lotte World then we went outside to have coffee at Angel-in-us coffee shop.
Green latte :)
After Lotte World, we went to watch the Nanta Show.
IT WAS AMAZING. IT WAS THE BEST.
I think the Nanta show is the highlight of this trip ;_;
Dinner was grilled pork I can't even :')
We stayed at Centermark hotel :) VERY VERY nice hotel. Got WiFi somemore.
Then at night, we obviously had to explore Seoul. We walked to this underground shopping mall. It was awesome!! And seriously, Seoul at night is extremely pretty. The streets.. omg.. so lively and nice!
DAY 7
Breakfast was Pork bone soup. After breakfast we went to make kimchi! And wore hanbok for the first time :)
Lunch was at Todai Seafood buffet.
Then we went to Myeongdong to shop and also at Dongdaemun.
We stayed at Secret Hotel for our last night in Korea.
DAY 8
The last day in Korea.
They gave us a really long time to sleep in. I slept until 10am! Usually we had to wake up at 6 or 7 am. Breakfast was totally up to us whether we want to wake up to eat or not. I chose to sleep more HAHA.
We checked out then we went for our last highlight of the trip. SEAGULL CRUISE.
It was not what I expected but it was still fun.
Then we stopped by at this place which I forgot the name and then headed to the aiport.
I tell you, the lunch that I had in the airport with my family was the best lunch I ever had in Korea! Maybe because I was really hungry at that time.
AND AND, I bought two things at the last minute!!
OMGGGGG. I WAS SO HAPPYYYYYYY. I WAS LITERALLY JUMPING UP AND DOWNNNN.
yeah.
I never thought I would ever buy them home ;_;
***
So that's the end of my trip to Korea. Oh wait! I need to show you my Korea Haul before I end this post.
And a maroon shirt which I don't know where it went now...
