My alcohol tolerance is not that high.

Hello.
So it has been exactly a month since I've arrived in Cardiff. So far, so great. Academic wise, not so great though because I have been delaying my readings.... I don't want to think about it....
Anyway, my friend's friend opened a Korean restaurant nearby our accommodation hall so we've decided to show some support. And honestly, I've been craving for a good Kimchi jigae.
The walk there was long, mainly because we lost our way. But it was nice to venture an area that we've never been before. Well, at least now I know where to get Chinese take out food when I want to eat Chinese.

The restaurant setting was nicely done. It was small but cosy. I didn't like the songs that were being played though. The whole time I was there, I listened to AKMU's album twice and various Big Bang songs. I was hoping for more current Kpop songs to be played but it seemed like the owner himself is not really that up-to-date with the Korean entertainment world. No offence.

Anyway, the food was mediocre. I had higher expectations. My Kimchi jigae was fine, but the portion was really small. I only got like a half of a bowl of Kimchi soup.... and for the price I paid, it was definitely not worth it no matter how much I craved for the food. The tteokbokki was a huge disappointment. The whole plate consisted a total of 4 rice cakes, some vege and covered with A LOT of gravy. The taste was not very authentic. I mean, I've tasted better tteokbokki. Heck, my mum can cook better than they could too. It was really expensive as well.... not because of the conversion rate. But for the amount I ate and the quality of the food.... it was really not worth it. The best thing was the honeycomb ice-cream.

And the company I was with.

I drank four shots of soju+beer. I felt dizzy after the first three shots. Apparently, my alcohol tolerance is not that high. However, if I were to live in South Korea, I would probably have a soju drinking session every week because.... I really like soju.

Yes. That's a confession.
